I love these guys to pieces. Being a Spaniard, it was not easy to get to know them during the 80's and early 90's. I came in contact with them in the summer of 1994 in a road trip from Boston to Logan (Utah). There I visited a guy that happened to be listened to the Tail Gators..I didn't leave until I got a copy (sorry, guys, I was young and moneyless) in a tape...

Is there anywhere I can buy a CD copy of 'Swamp Rock'? I'm in Europe, and my vinyl copy (besides being worn flat) isn't. :(

Hey! I'm SO glad you have a website now. I'd like to see you guys play again, even if I have to drive to Austin for it. Please update the calendar page with gig information so I can make plans. Haven't seen you play this century - that's TOO LONG!

'Mumbo Jumbo' by The Tailgators is the hottest rockin' album of all time, even hotter than 'Rolling Through The Night' by Evan Johns & The H-Bombs, and that's saying something! 'Swamp Rock', 'Tore Up', 'Hide Your Eyes' and 'Swamp's Up!' are not far behind. If they're ever reissued in digipack form I'll buy 'em all again! I was delighted to see the picture of Evan Johns playing with The Tailgators on your website.

I read a review of Swamp Rock in the British music press back in 1985, and went out and bought it immediately. It's never left my collection, and I've introduced it to hundreds of friends. When lost for something to listen to, it's an album I inevitably turn to (that and The Modern Lovers album).
If you're ever in Boston, I'll be there, dragging every friend and acquaintance with me.
Thank you.

Keith Ferguson, the legendary Bass Player who has played with the best once told me that Don Leady was the best guitar player that he has ever heard and played with. I agree.

Mumbo Jumbo needs to be re-released on CD -- One of my favorite albums ever. It is impossible to find it in stores.

I have always really enjoyed your music and hope you make a record again sometime soon. You should sell mp3s of live shows on your website. Set up a paypal account and then email the person a link with a zip file they can download.
I'm the guy you let tape you here in St Louis in Nov 1991 for KDHX radio. Dick Ross was on drums. I sent you a DAT tape of the show a few days later.
Take care,
-Glenn

You are the baddest mother****** to ever plug a Tele into a black faced Fender. We are anxiously awaiting your return to the west coast.

SWAMP ROCK was one of the albums I learned to play guitar from (the others being Lightnin' Hopkins and the first T-birds album w/ Keith). I still remember being 15 years old and jamming away to ROCK 'N' ROLL 'TIL THE COWS COME HOME at full volume back home in Houston. Whenever I need a 'pick me up' I dig out my current copy (on CD) and crank it up. Food for the soul! The Tailgators are the coolest Rock 'n' Roll band ever.

When are you going to play in the Dallas area? We need some good entertainment here.
